Design of enzyme extracts

The aim of the enzyme extract design laboratory (EED) research group is to design innovative sustainable processes applied to obtain high added value molecules by lignocellulosic waste from the regional agricultural industry. The fungal submerged or solid fermentation of these wastes are aboard in different research lines. These involve the production of biopesticides and biofertilizers molecules, and the production of hydrolytic enzymes for the formulation of specific enzymatic cocktails. Different fermentation and purification strategies are under research to achieve low cost processes.
